Baby L had an adventurous week 15 hiking and kayaking in Arizona and then camping and boating later in the week when we met up with family in Bull Shoals. When we were in Arizona, I can honestly say that with the exception of my higher than normal heart rate when hiking, I wouldn’t have known that I was pregnant through most of the trip. I still frequently forget that I am pregnant because it’s been a pretty easy pregnancy so far and I am thankful for that.
Later in the week when we arrived at Bull Shoals, was a little different story. Maybe it was the humidity or being out on the water with the sun and wind all afternoon, but I was beat by the end of the day. My problem is that I am constantly going and because I forget that I am pregnant, I do too much and I don’t realize until it’s too late when I can’t get myself off the couch or the thought of moving seems impossible. Luckily, this usually only hits in the evening and I suspect this will only get worse as the weeks go by. It was still so nice to be on the lake and be reunited with the boys. They looked so much older after not seeing them for a week.
Next week is back to work and normal life. I have my 16 week appointment and there is a tiny chance we may be able to find out the baby’s gender. Since it is completely possible that baby wont cooperate, I am not getting my hopes up, but the next appointment (week 20) we will absolutely find out the gender.
Highlights from Week 15:
- Baby L is the size of an orange.
- Baby L is still craving pancakes but seems to prefer restaurant pancakes.
- Baby L is still my little workout companion. Even though we were on vacation, we were actually even more active this last week and I maintained my workouts plus added in a lot of extra mileage.
- Chase and Shane both think Baby L is a girl.
